Jacob Mansfield hired as Head Coach of Women's Soccer

Kingston, ON – St. Lawrence College is proud to announce Jacob Mansfield as the new Head Coach of the St. Lawrence Surge Women’s Soccer program, beginning in the Fall 2025 OCAA season.

A lifelong member of the Kingston soccer community, Mansfield brings over 20 years of experience as a player, coach, and facilitator. He has spent the past four seasons coaching with Atlético Kingston and previously served as Assistant Coach with the Queen’s University Men’s Soccer program for two seasons.

“This is really a dream come true,” said Mansfield. “Having grown up here in Kingston, I know the important role this team can play in the growth of women’s soccer in the city. I hope to help develop a program that the players are proud to be a part of—and that young players in the community can look up to.”

Mansfield is deeply committed to strengthening the program’s connection with the local soccer community and to supporting the long-term growth of women’s soccer across the region. His coaching philosophy centres on player development, team culture, and building sustainable success in the OCAA.

“My job as a coach is to help players realize their potential and to guide this program to sustainable success as a leader within the OCAA,” he added. “It will be a journey of learning and growth—for both the players and me—but the potential is undeniable here at SLC, and I can’t wait to begin.”
