FRIDAY

The double-header weekend started with what's becoming an annual rivalry between Durham and St. Lawrence.  Surge got on the board first by the boot of leading scorer, Jacob Ball in the 16th minute. Durham would bounce back in the second half with two goals from Deandre Watkis (63rd) and Evan Amaral (75th) to take a 2-1 lead into the final minutes of the game. After a series of unfavourable calls from referee Aaron Birch, the home side was fouled in Durham's box, giving them an opportunity to tie the game in the 80th minute. Jacob Ball didn't miss, adding his team leading 8th goal, second in all of the OCAA. With mere minutes left on the board, veteren striker Brett Holmberg netted the dagger to give SLC the 3-2 victory.

SATURDAY

It was a battle against the officials for both teams on Saturday as the Surge and Colts traded card after card in a 1-1 final.  It could have went etiher way, but SLC had the better chances with Jacob Ball hitting the goal post on two occasions, after receiving his third yellow card of the season. The untimely and seemingly unjust card for embellishment means Ball will miss the next game. Goals were traded by both sides in the first half from Surge's Ball (23rd) and Colt's Peter Ubreye (25th).
